Algebra in Practice
It is algebra that we employ to get our daily things done. We are a kind that forever keeps counting, measuring, dividing, and multiplying.
The History
Invented in the first millennium BC, algebra has its sources in the middle-east. The ancient geniuses applied algebra for solving daily problems while the Asian or rather Chinese counterpart employed geometry for the same intention.
What is the Nature of Algebra?
Algebra is not just for solving formulas, it helps, simplifying rational expressions, and converting fractions to decimals , algebra has a much larger body of knowledge and applicability. Since this view has been understood, the education system pressures us to study algebra from the inception of our student life.
Algebra I
The students are given an intro in this study course to numbers, solving linear equations , graphing systems of linear equations , graphing linear inequalities, laws of exponents, resolving radical equations, and factoring polynomials. This is the foundation stage course of study for all the other levels of algebra.
If a pupil is keen on studying algebra down to its roots, then this is a subject area course that should be tackled well.
Algebra II
Once the students are sound with Algebra I constructs, Algebra II can be taken up for expanding the spectrum of this marvelous segment of mathematics. There are two views of Algebra II; stressing more on the topics learned in Algebra I and foundation to new concepts. When it comes to the new introductions, adding and subtracting matrices, quadratic functions, solving exponential equations, probability and statistics are important.
At this level, the subjects are more concentrated on the depth of mathematical concepts rather than the coverage of many topics.
College Algebra
This is one of the most key stages of studying Algebra with almost no new topic introduced. I assume it is quite funny, but this is the nature of mathematics. Mathematics is named the queen of all scientific disciplines. Do you know why? That’s because of the unpredictable nature of maths!
How to get aid on Algebra?
Algebra has the most broadened methods and tools available for getting aid. The first and the foremost essential source is an Algebra tutor from whom you can get help and assistance.
In addition to books, students should never underestimate the use of Algebra software package that is particularly designed to solve algebraic problems with informative steps. This software system really adds insight in to Algebraic operations of solving equations, by allowing students to simply watch and learn through exercises.
