Learn Online Marketing Strategies As The Internet Grows Rapidly

Filed under: Ads, Economy, Marketing Parlor — @ 1:36 pm

In watching all the different marketing strategies that have been coming out lately I’ve become quite intrigued with the very round of online marketing itself.

In hiring different companies to market my webpages I’ve seen some incredible things happen.

Just like in the off-line world would meander money over to accompany and they throw out a television commercial or billboard pitch and then you see it happen and bring in the business, these things are very exciting.

The thing about online marketing is you just want to know how they do it.

Even if you still want to hire the company to do it for you is very interesting to find out how all ties together.

The more the Internet grows, and it grows every single day, the more Internet marketing strategy becomes important.

Internet marketing is an organic version of marketing that lives on in networking principle and relies on a great deal of factors none of which are very expensive to implement if the cost anything at all.

One the great things about online marketing these days is not so much a matter of how to do it as it is to utilize networks that speed the results and impact of the marketing itself.

Internet marketing is a fascinating topic and as the Internet grows it will become even more fascinating to see how marketing evolves.

There’s No Time Like the Present

Filed under: Marketing Parlor — @ 6:44 pm

Today certainly is a present and we are to rejoice and be
glad in it, because this is the day the Lord has made! Every
day we rise to begin anew is definitely a gift from God.

We’ve all heard the saying, “There is no time like the
present”. When you think about this, it’s true. Each and every
one of us is given this day as a free gift to be used in
honoring our Creator in everything we do. We are however,
given the choice to use this time any way we want. This
special gift is very often times taken for granted but so often
leaving us empty, wanting more. What more do you want?
Do you want material wealth, power, fame or do want true
contentment, peace, happiness and joy?

Many times we will say that someone is, “living in the past,
or living in the future”. Why is it that we are everywhere but
here? I believe that God intended for us to use our
memories of the past to benefit our todays. We learn from
experience, we learn from the past in order to make our
lives better. God instructed us not to stay in the past. For one
reason, that’s where our sins are. Once we surrender to
Christ, we give Him all those past sins, not to mention the
present and future ones too. To remember these is not
God’s intention because Christ paid the price for those sins
and when God says He has forgotten them, then we too
must go forward and let them go as well.

“As far as the East is from the West, so far has He removed
our transgressions from us.” Psalm 103:12 (Amplified)

Jesus Himself warns us about not looking to the past
anymore because it’s not healthy for our life here on earth or
the one for eternity.

Jesus said to him, “No one who puts his hand to the plow
and looks back (to the things behind) is fit for the kingdom of
God.” Luke 10:62 (Amplified)

When Jesus asked the man to follow Him, he replied, “Lord,
permit me first to go and bury (await the death) of my father.”
Jesus replied by telling him to let the dead bury their own
dead, but as for this man to go and publish abroad
throughout all the regions the kingdom of God”. Luke 9:59
(Amplified)

In other words, Jesus is telling us to leave the death of sin
and come forward today with Him into Eternal Life and
spread the good news to others. Obviously there is no life in
sin.

Coming forward doesn’t mean that we should run ahead of
Him either. We tend to get in a hurry and wish our today
away because…”we’ll be happy when…”

A life without Christ is not knowing how to be content and
happy right now. But this is where our true happiness lies.
The reason we will never find happiness if waiting on
certain circumstances to happen first is because we are
seeking temporal things. The truth is that even when and if
we do obtain these material or carnal wishes, we still won’t
be happy, because by then some other priority will have
taken its place. When God is first in our lives, we then find
happiness in any situation.

“Do not worry or be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow
will have worries and anxieties of it’s own. Sufficient for each
day is it’s own trouble.” Matthew 6:34 (Amplified)

Christ knew the secret to happiness and He told us not to
worry about anything that was not in our control. Face it,
there is not much that we can control, so why worry? He
knew this would create anxiety and fears, and this is not
what God intends for His children. Fear and doubt is a trap
that the enemy sets up for us to fall into. Fear and doubt
takes us out of fellowship with God and that is exactly what
Satan wants from all of us.

God wants us to learn from His Words and the examples
that are written in it. One example is when the Israelites ran
ahead of God falling into traps of idolotry, complaining and
doubting that the Lord would actually deliver them. As a
result of their disobedience, God turned their wilderness
journey into a 40 year trip that should’ve taken only days to
complete. They created all their own trouble by doubting
God. This holds true today, when our lack of faith and trust
turns into a wilderness journey. God will keep us going
around the same old mountain over and over until we are
ready to submit to Him. This is how He gets our attention. If
the journey seems too long, then we really need to search
our relationship with God.

The true fact is that when our carnal desires take
presidence over God, we will always be led down the wrong
path. One that is wide and tempting and holds many
detours and dead ends. This wide path holds all the sins of
yesterday, today and tomorrow. Why not make today the first
day of the rest of your “eternal” life by submitting to Christ
and living righteously for today? Let Him lead you down the
straight and narrow path.

Don’t allow the enemy to tell you anything differently.
Confess Jesus today as your Lord and Savior and admit
that you are a sinner and need to be forgiven. If you say this
from the heart, you will soon see a big change in your
outlook on life. Live for today, live for Jesus!

If you are heading in the wrong direction, remember…God
allows U turns!

Here’s Your Acne Cure Harry Potter

Filed under: Marketing Parlor — @ 4:04 pm

Even though Harry Potter’s magic wand could not cure the acne breakout he and co-stars Rupert Grint, (Ron Weasley) and Emma Watson (Hermione Granger), are experiencing, their special effects man could. According to a leak posted by Thomas Crosbie Media, producers for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire had to “employ a special effects man to go through every frame clearing up their complexions.”

If you can’t afford a camera magician to clear up your acne, rest assured that using the five steps below can magically transform your fantasies of clear skin into a reality.

Step One: Reduce excess oil secretion:

Vitamin A helps reduce the secretion of oil by the oil glands. Foods that supply the body with Vitamin A and beta-carotene (which is converted to vitamin A by the body) include: Liver, oily fish, whole eggs, carrots, sweet potatoes, and broccoli.

Step Two: Encourage extreme shedding of the skin:

Using a peel is the easiest method to promote shedding of the skin. Exfoliation releases the build-up of dead skin cells, oils and bacteria trapped in the pores, which could lead to the formation of blemishes.

Extreme peels
Peels come in varying degrees, from mild to harsh. The trichloroacetic acid (TCA) peel is an extreme peel that can cost from $100 to $1000 depending on the degree of the treatment. It is only performed in a doctor’s office. The TCA is not a save all however. The peel can make the skin sensitive to the sun cause hyper-pigmentation.

Home use peels
Several over-the-counter peels contain papaya enzymes or glycolic acid. These peels lightly exfoliate the skin and are safe for weekly use.

Step Three: Reduce the spread of bacterial infection:

Using an astringent such as witch hazel or apple cider vinegar to disinfect the skin significantly reduces the presence of bacteria on the face. This reduction limits skin inflammation and the likelihood of a pimple developing.

Step Four: Enhance Fat Metabolism:

Free fatty acids can irritate the skin and provoke acne eruptions. Reducing intake of foods containing hydrolyzed fats will improve fat metabolism. However, do consume essential fatty acids such as Omega-3 and Omega-6, which are found in foods such as salmon and olive oil. These essential fats aid the gastrointestinal tract eliminate pro-inflammatory substances, which reduces the possibility of experiencing acne lesions.

Step Five: Reduce inflammation:

A strong immune system serves as a buffer against inflammation. Stress reducing activities such as exercising, eating a well-balanced diet and sleeping well boosts the immune system. A diet supplemented with B-Complex, zinc and vitamins C and E likewise enhances the effectiveness of the immune system.

These steps work via creating a bodily environment that is not conducive to acne. By adhering to the nutritional and aesthetic steps above, anyone can attain clear skin while simultaneously augmenting their health. It’s a lot cheaper that hiring a special effects man.

18 Steps to Buying a Business

Filed under: Marketing Parlor — @ 5:04 pm

  1. Decide to investigate
You make the decision to look for a business to buy. You then check out businesses in the newspaper or by working through a business broker.
  2. Confidentiality
If working through a broker, you will sign confidentiality agreements, ensuring the details of any businesses disclosed to you are kept private and confidential for the purpose of assessment of the business alone and revealing nothing to any other party.
  3. Meet with the broker
Set up a meeting with the broker where the broker will pass over a business profile, which is documentation containing full information about the business.
  4. Look over the business
Your broker will take you to the business premises and will show you through the operation for sale. Sometimes the seller is not present and it will be left to the broker to act on the seller’s behalf.
  5. Meet with the owner
Eventually you will meet with the owner, where further questions may be answered.
  6. Letter of intent
If you want to continue to the next stage, you may have to give a letter of intent to the seller and pay over a small deposit. This will allow you to have access to some of the information you need for your investigation without committing yourself to the purchase.
  7. Carry out due diligence
Once a letter of intent has been accepted by the seller you will be given access to all areas of the business and you can carry out full due diligence. This is a method whereby you can investigate any area of the business to see whether the business interests you.
  8. Make an offer
You have now satisfied yourself from your due diligence that you want to proceed to buy. An offer is made, which is presented by the broker to the owner.
  9. Offer presented
The broker takes the offer to the seller and the seller will either accept the offer or come back with a counter offer for you to agree to.
  10. Check counter offer
If the seller is not happy with your offer and a counter offer is brought back by the broker, you will need to make a decision whether to accept the counter offer or make one further adjustment. Generally you cannot make a counter offer to a counter offer because it will extinguish the offer and if you want to make changes then it will become a new offer.
  11. Acceptance
You have now both agreed on the final details and the offer is accepted by you, as well as by the seller. There is now in effect, an agreement between both parties and it becomes a purchase and sale agreement which can still be conditional on a number of factors, such as finance being arranged, or a certain contract being approved, or the lease being assigned, etc
  12. Sale and Purchase agreement finalised
The agreement is drafted up and sent to you for your approval and acceptance. You will then sign it and send it back to the seller, who will sign both copies.
  13. All conditions met
Once all the conditions have been satisfied, the agreement will become unconditional and it is then a matter of waiting until the final date for settlement.
  14. Lawyers finalise things
After the contract becomes unconditional there is nothing further for either party to do except allow the lawyers to complete all other documentation, such as lease assignments, finance documentation, employee contracts, etc.
  15. Close and settle
On the date of settlement the lawyers pass over the cash to the seller and the business and the keys are passed over to you, as the buyer, from the seller’s lawyer.
  16. Stocktake
Prior to settlement a stocktake is usually taken, and after settlement any variation in the value of stock arising from the actual stocktake compared to the value taken into the agreement, will be made. Usually a cheque will be passed over from one party to the other for this.
  17. New owner starts
The new owner will now commence the business and sometimes the old owner works alongside the new owner to train and show the ropes for a period.
  18. Training and Support
Many deals require the old owner to give the new training and full support for a particular period.

Religion and Social Engineering - Part of an Introduction

Filed under: Marketing Parlor — @ 11:20 am

Thomas Carlyle is just one of the interesting characters who had much to do with Calvinism and the Knox family he married into. Friedrich Nietzsche never really completed a book and yet before he went crazy his Wagnerian or Illuminized ‘radical aristocratic’ handlers used him well. Even so-called political religions like Marxism must be considered before we can understand the reasons for the likes of Francis Fukayama saying ‘absolute religions’ are important to his social engineering compatriots who I think are anything but patriots to the cause of any populace. Frederick T. Gates was a Baptist theologian in the Rothschild employ before they got more aggressive with the ‘invasions of science’ or the Palmer Raids and other controls including the Fed. We must go into the ‘torch-bearer of Christ’ (Hitler) a little more in this examination as well.

Those who believe their leaders are actually in touch with and inspired by some almighty god have wrought all manner of horrors upon those they are told are less or not ‘chosen’. But we all must stop being ‘chosen’ or having our loved ones ‘chosen’ to be their Scarlet Women or sword and cannon fodder. A friend of mine puts it this way. ‘My own maternal ancestors spent the better part of a cold and dreary thousand years playing a little game called: ‘Storm the Castle,’ in which they dressed up in unwieldy metal suits and pounded each other senseless with a variety of sharp and not so sharp objects. (Of course with nutrition not being quite up to par with today’s standards and with daily rations of wine being something in the neighborhood of five liters, we are left with the sobering fact that most of us who trace our ancestry to Europe are in fact descended from short, drunken psychopaths who whiled away their time bludgeoning each other with hammers, maces and cudgels, hacking each other to pieces with swords, and scalding each other to death with boiling oil.)’

We must ask them to justify their laws and their acts and insist on leadership that is truthful and righteous. That is not to say there is such a thing as black and white absolute truth or some way man can actually limit the awesome reality of the creative potential of life energy on earth and in universe.

I can hardly accept that John Calvin is anything more than a power-broker when I see or read him saying we should not question authority. Should we merely accept his interpretation of Jesus or any other dogma his ilk has designed to empower themselves over all life and therefore God too. Calvin said, “When it is a question of our justification, we have to put away all thinking about the Law and our works, to embrace the mercy of God alone, and to turn our eyes away from ourselves and upon Jesus Christ alone.”

Jan Hus was a church reformer who was burned at the stake, is a humanist whose message is garbled by the times he lived in too. I do wonder about his Bohemian origins and humanistic liberal attitudes fostered by Prague denizens or alchemists who became the Bavarian Illuminati. I see him as a bridge between the Cathars and Jesuits who are founded by the Alumbrados which means Illuminati in another language. He appears eminently better than his reformers who followed; when we consider Martin Luther of a century later.

Jaroslav Pelikan is the Sterling Professor of History and William Clyde De Vere {Important Royal of the Dragon Court family name.} Lecturer at this University which the Rockefeller/Rothschilds have so many attachments to. Yale is a central issue in research into the halls of power beyond the existence of Skull & Bones or the CIA people there. They also control the Olduvai Gorge research on the origins of man as well as so much in the administration of the laws and training of lawyers that I have dealt with in other books.

There is a little town or city in Switzerland called Sion which is rumored to have a connection to the Priory of Sion that I may look into in greater detail someday. Switzerland is the center of Rothschild and Battenberg Royal history for the last thousand years or since the time Rome supposedly fell and Christianity became what it is today. The red cross of the Red Cross is part of this along with the Templar red crosses which looked over the voyages or invasions of Columbus and Vasco da Gama. Here is Pelikan speaking about these red cross symbols.

“In an age in which the healing of the nations from the ravages of hunger, disease, and war has become the dominant moral imperative, Jesus the Healer has come to assume a central place. It was an emblem of the central place of Jesus {Perhaps for a lot longer than he knows.} when, under the terms of the Geneva Convention of 1864 for the Amelioration of the Condition of the Wounded and Sick of Armies in the Field, the international organization created to carry out that moral imperative took the name ‘Red Cross Society’, its symbol, based on a reversal of the colors of the Swiss flag, is a red cross on a white background. Yet the connection between evangelization in the name of Jesus and the mission of help and healing has also been an issue for debate, especially in the twentieth century.

This debate, too, comes as a commentary on the literal meaning of a word in the Gospels: ‘Whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.’ {Biblio: Mark 9.41} It has almost seemed that in every epoch there were some who were primarily interested in naming the name of Christ, clarifying its doctrinal and theological meaning, and defending that meaning against its enemiesbut who named the name without giving the cup of water. Yet it has seemed possible for others to give the cup of water, to provide the healing, and to improve the social lot of the disadvantaged {Yes, and they are the ones who created the disadvantageous divisions and castes in society to begin with.}but to do so without explicitly naming the name of Christ. Does that saying of Jesus mean that each of these ways of responding to his summons is only a partial obedience to this dual command? In the answer to this question, much of the debate over the primary responsibility of Christ’s disciples in the modern world has concentrated on the disjunction between the two components of the imperative.” (1)

Yes, there is jargon and code or esoteric meaning in this which even he does not know in the fullest depth I think. It is not unlike the talk about manifesting the god force which became a political agenda around the time of the Hyksos or Semites in Egypt. Some say Alexander was the first to claim divinity while living and I imagine he did it more than those before him. All these people were propagandists selling people on their greater importance rather than helping people see the divinity in all things which many earlier people had included in their knowledge that gods were mere representations of the forces of nature. Tuthmosis III may have been the same character who re-organized the Mystery Schools which Gardner writes is the foundation of his Great White Brotherhood.

I am pretty sure from my extensive research that Amun was a one god concept of a supreme connected or collective of the forces of nature going back to before the Sphinx which was both gendered and honored Amun and Amun-Ra the Heliopolitan or Harmonic of Light which I dealt with in great detail in Neolithic Libraries. I also think the House of Mallia or Milesians included this Tuthmosis character and the other Tuthmosides as well. Here is a top scholar from Egyptology writing about this Tuthmosis character and his so-called manifesting god in the first recorded instance.

“The first reference to the divine will being manifested is probably that made by King Tuthmosis III, who relates how, when he was still a boy, the god Amun, in the course of a procession of his statue round the temple, noticed him and halted. Tuthmosis prostrated himself on the ground before the god, who thereupon led him to a part of the temple called ‘Station of the King’, thereby publically recognizing him as king. In this case the god revealed his will unasked, but from now onwards cases multiply in which the revelation of a god’s will was sought for by men.” (2)

These elites and their Divine Kings are a plague upon life on earth and it is not getting better. The sophistication of the intrigues are not always obvious like it is in Korea today where we have ‘Moonies with Missiles’ or in Iran where the Ayatollahs run roughshod over soulful enablement. The same thing works in most media controlled environments or the world paradigm in toto. Just because the traditional religions have lost some demographics in terms of having insane or cultish followers does not mean the Mormons, Noahdist extremists and Moslem Jihadists or Scientologists are any different. I like the thought expressed by James Watson in his foreword to Discovering the Brain. He said, ‘The brain boggles the mind.’. It is also true that a lot of the ‘boggling’ has been done by those saying they seek God. We can be so much more - if we would DO as Jesus and other desposyni did. There are despots in these groups of the Merovingian or family of Jesus however.

We should be trying to end intolerance and the deification of one group while demonizing any others or branding some as heretical points of view. Ultimately all religions and beliefs are struggling with the same thing but those that stop seeking to participate in the creation and thus limit ‘What is’ are engaged in playing god. They often have made themselves the sole spokesmen for their imaginary god or the Lord as in the case of the Catholic hegemonists. But before we get into the current hegemony too much we will have to understand the root of the problem. The Reformation did not just happen and in some ways it is an academic or superficial construct. Here is Černỷ again as he addresses one of the origin myths thought to be most ancient. Note Heliopolitanism (Druidic sun-worship that Thomas Paine tells us is the basis of Masonry.) seems to be even more ancient.

“At about the same time as it found a means of reconciliation with the conception of the king as the god Horus, the solar religion of Heliopolis succeeded in reaching a compromise with a new cult, in fact a new religion which was irresistibly spreading from the center of the Delta towards the south, the religion of Osiris. Osiris came from Djedu, the capital of the IXth nome of Lower Egypt; ‘Lord of Djedu’ is his old title and the town was called Per-Usire (the Greek form of this being Busiris). ‘House of Osiris’. Nevertheless, Djedu was probably not his original home, since the proper god of Djedu was Andjeti, who is represented in human form as a ruler with his insignia, a long crooked sceptre in one hand and a whip in the other, with two feathers on his head. Andjeti was, however, very early absorbed by Osiris and his name became a mere epithet of that god.

A circumstance that favoured the absorption was that Osiris too was entirely human in form. He also is shown with the Upper Egyptian white crown to which two feathers are attached on both sides and which is set on a pair of ram’s horns. But there is an important difference between Andjeti and Osiris: while the former represents a living ruler, Osiris is always shown as a dead person, standing, wrapped in a long white royal cloak, the two arms holding the sceptre. His name Usire, of which Osiris is the Greek form, seems to mean ‘Seat of the Eye’; it has the appearance of a human name and it is probable that Osiris was originally a human king {How long ago?} who became deified after his death. A myth was woven around his person which is less concerned with his former life and rule as a king of Egypt than with his death and subsequent resurrection after which he became a ruler in the realm of the dead. No systematic expression of this myth is known from Egyptian sources, our chief authority in this respect being Plutarch in his ‘On Isis and Osiris’; frequent allusions, however, occur in Egyptian texts of all periods which show that Plutarch’s account agrees essentially with the Egyptian belief.” (3)

In May 2004 there is a report of an archaeological find in Mayan tunnels (they loved the spiritual cenotes and still do) saying it was a millennium earlier than the Mayan ascendancy and yet it was just 200 BC. Aside from the fact that I have proven these people were there at least 3000 years earlier the ‘find’ is a mask of a sun god. The sun god or Heliopolitan Druidism is just one of the esoteric clues to follow in tracing the ‘travelers’ or Red-Headed League of Megalith Builders all over the world.

When Viktor E. Frankl faced death in a concentration camp he learned a great deal about meaning and life. Most people live in fear and this debilitating fear of death is not healthy. He developed a whole school of psychology called Logotherapy from facing the choice of dying. But there is much more to learn from the Many Worlds Interpretation of Physics and from ancient shamanic ‘travels’ to the places the soul goes at death and potentially before death. His experiences there must have included altered states that can be brought about through fasting and trauma. His work in that area is not particularly enlightening even though his Logos or Meaning is akin to the LOGOS which is the ‘beginning’ (as in ‘the Word’) and harmonically attuned to the akashic record which might be in our genes or the Cosmic Soup or both. Here is a little paragraph from the Preface to Frankl’s The Will to Meaning which carried his early book Man’s Search for Meaning a little further.

“What I term the existential vacuum constitutes a challenge to psychiatry today. Ever more patients complain of a feeling of emptiness and meaninglessness, which seems to me to derive from two facts. Unlike an animal, man is not told by instincts what he must do. And unlike man in former times, he is no longer told by traditions what he should do. Often he does not even know what he basically wishes to do. Instead, either he wishes to do what other people do (conformism), or he does what other people wish him to do (totalitarianism).” (4)

Why have those who arranged these horrors tried to blame the Jews (and in an indirect manner, all ’sinners’) for the death of Jesus? He did not claim to be a co-equal member of the Holy Trinity. It wasn’t the Jews who ‘killed our Saviour’. John Ralston Saul says this about the whole matter

“HOLY TRINITY-CHRISTIAN

A pre-alchemist alchemist concept developed by early Christian administrators to soften the hard-edged simplicity of straight monotheism.

The three-in-one/one-in-three mystery of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost {That the beatniks called ‘Laddio, Daddio and Spook’.} made tritheism official. The subsequent almost-deification of the Virgin Mary made it quatrotheism {And raised un-natural ‘virginity’ or possible non-sense such as immaculate conceptions, which fathers must have loved and priests certainly benefit from, to heights of increasing obscenity!}. Twelve Disciples as semi-deities then made it sextusdecitheism. Finally, cart-loads of saints raised to quarter-deification turned Christianity into plain, old-fashioned polytheism. By the time of the Crusades, it was the most polytheistic religion ever to have existed, with the possible exception of Hinduism. This untenable contradiction between the assertion of monotheism and the reality of polytheism was dealt with {And this is the MOST important observation of a technique known in psychology as ‘projection of a pluperfect paranoid’ or the ‘BIG LIE’ of alphabet soup agencies and ‘black ops’; the less organized criminals like the Mafia call it a ‘frame-up’.} by accusing other religions of the Christian fault. The Church - Catholic and later Protestant - turned aggressively on the two most clearly monotheistic religions in view {Also they began at least 700 years of war, A CRUSADE! against the remnants of the Kelts in Ireland.) - Judaism and Islam - and persecuted them as heathen or pagan. ..These pagans must therefore be converted, conquered {ego ‘Manifest Destiny’} and/or killed for their own good in order that they may benefit from the singularity of the Holy Trinity, plus appendages.

HOLY TRINITY - POST CHRISTIAN

So far Nietzsche has been wrong about GOD. We have not managed to become Him in His place. Instead we have replaced God with a yet more abstract divinity based upon pure rational power… Organization or structure replaced the Father, TECHNOLOGY displaced the Son and the Holy Ghost gave way to information. The new priesthood was made up of technocrats. As the etymology of the word ‘technocrat’ indicates, from the beginning they were to be specialists in power… And they would stand guard over information.” (5)

The fears and apathy of average people are as much to blame for this history of managed and ‘guarded information’ that records the acts of bad people. ‘We are all our brother’s keepers’ is not just an idle platitude. The Druidic concept called IESA or ‘The Brotherhood of Man’ apprehended the Cosmic Thought Field of Faraday and Tesla or the ‘Cosmic Soup’ of Deepak Chopra. NASA scientists have just announced that Life is Everywhere including microbes in outer space. They talk about cell membrane formation that makes we wonder if these are conscious connected ‘info packets’(Tesla) or ‘templates’ (Teilhard de Chardin) from which energy can create in a manner more akin to ancient creationist theories of the supposed pagans.

The “Richest Square Mile on Earth” May Well also be the Most Haunted Square Mile on Earth!

Filed under: Marketing Parlor — @ 1:59 am

Life in mining towns was not easy. Many died untimely and violent deaths -
deaths from diseases, from hostile environments, from mining accidents, from crime, and even from broken hearts. Conditions were ripe for creating ghosts and many mining towns today claim hauntings. Central City, Colorado, also known as “the richest square mile on earth” was a thriving mining town during the gold rush area and to this day many of it’s first residents and visitors still roam it’s buildings, streets, and cemeteries.

On the main intersection of town was a building housing one of these restless
spirits on it’s second floor. During the late 1980’s the second floor of this building
was the annex for the Golden Rose Hotel, the main building being directly across
the street from it. The hotel was a replication of earlier days, all furnishings were
actual gold rush era pieces, and to preserve the historical aviance there were no
telephones in the rooms. Guests would have to walk across the street to the
main lobby to talk to hotel personnel. With a ghost living in one of the rooms,
guests made the trip over to the main building quite often.

I worked in the hotel in 1990 and 1991 until the building was sold to be turned
into a casino. Room 25 seemed to have it’s problems. Windows would open
themselves, which would not have been so hard to rationalize if they had not had
to slide up to be opened. Water faucets turned themselves on, clothes and other
objects would disappear then turn up on the bed when the occupants got ready
to leave. When the haunted room was empty, any guests in rooms on either
side would come to the desk to report fights in the room.

I remember one guest had reported that items were missing from his room. We
assured him that our housekeepers were extremely honest people, but he
seemed to not be convinced, until just before check-out he came in and spoke to
me. He told me that his belongings had turned up, just as I had indicated they
might do. He seemed shaken, and I again reassured him that this was not a
prank that anyone on our staff would orchestrate. He agreed readily that it was
not our staff. It seems he had already packed and was writing a quick letter to
mail on his way to his next destination. When he turned to the bed his
belongings were neatly laid on the foot of the bed. When I remarked that it was
highly unlikely that someone could have snuck in to replace the items without
him hearing them, he just laughed. It seems that he had been facing the mirror
on the desk in his room while writing and that no one could have moved
anywhere in the vicinity of the bed without him having seen them - and no one
had. His missing belongings seem to have just materialized out of thin air.
Several times during my employment with the Golden Rose, guests in rooms
next to the haunted room came to me to report fights in the next room. When I
would just calmly smile and assure them everything was quite in order, they
would protest so furiously that I would have to walk across to the annex with
them and open the door of the room where the “fights” were taking place. It was
interesting to see the colors the guest’s faces would turn when I opened the door
revealing that the room was indeed unoccupied, and neatly ordered with nothing
out of place or destroyed. Some guests loved it, some insisted on moving to the
main building for the rest of their stay.

When gaming was re-legalized in 1991 the annex was sold and converted into a
casino. I went off to a business partnership running a parking lot, shuttles, and
some miscellaneous marketing. Part of this marketing involved doing coupons
for some of the casinos. Checking an order one day, I went to Doc Holliday’s
casino - which was in the building that had housed the Golden Rose Annex just
months before.
It was early morning and when I entered the office the secretary was quite
frazzled, and was sorting a very disordered stack of papers on her desk. She
complained loudly that the “guys” kept forgetting to shut the windows and file
cabinet drawers at night and she was many mornings faced with picking files up
off the floor and reorganizing them. She was also not pleased with the
disappearance of files, which would invariably turn back up on her desk at a later
time, but she could never find out who was taking the files in the first place. The
room the office was in? You guessed it. Doc Holliday’s casino office was
located in none other than the haunted annex room.
I was told that the casino was called Doc Holliday’s because it was believed that
the ghost of Doc Holliday inhabited the building. He actually died and was buried
in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Whether he actually has taken up permanent
residence in Central City, a town he frequented often during life, or not will
probably always be a mystery. It is no mystery that SOMEONE has decided to
take up permanent residence in that room, however.

This is only one instance of haunting in Central City. For people interested in
ghost hunting, I would be hard pressed to think of a better place to visit. You will
find that there are scores of very well known haunted places there, and quite a
few lesser known ones as well if you talk to residents that have lived in the area
for a time.

Caught in the Arms of ED

Filed under: Marketing Parlor — @ 1:15 am

YOU MIGHT THINK I AM STRONG

I THINK YOU GOT IT WRONG

I LIVE LIFE DAY TO DAY

HOPING IT WILL GO MY WAY

I HAVE MY FRIENDS AND MY FOOD PLAN

MY THERAPIST AND MY THOUGHTS

MY EXERCISE AND MY EXCITEMENT

THEN SOMETHING HAPPENS AND I GET CAUGHT

CAUGHT IN THE ARMS OF ED

TURNING MY EYES AWAY

FROM MY FOCUS TO WIN THE FIGHT

THAT I THOUGHT WAS GOING TO STAY.

HE TELLS ME THAT I AM SELFISH

THAT I SHOULD DOUBT MY EVERY MOVE

ONE MINUTE I AM HAPPY

DO I HAVE A RIGHT TO FEEL THIS GOOD?

DOUBTING MY STRENGTH AND CONFIDENCE

AS ED ALWAYS KNEW I WOULD

I AM LOSING INCHES AROUND MY WAIST

AND MY PANTS ARE FALLING OFF

I SEE THE FACE OF ED IN MY HEAD

AS HE BEGINS TO LAUGH AND SCOFF

YOU THINK YOU ARE GOING STRONG

YOU THINK YOU GOT ME BEAT

LET ME SEE YOU LOSE EVEN MORE

YOU WILL SEE THAT YOU WERE WRONG.

THE LITTLE VOICE IS ALWAYS THERE

CHATTERING AWAY

CAN’T I SEND HIM TO DETENTION

OR KILL HIM FOR GOOD TODAY?

EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE I GET CAUGHT UP IN MY LIFE

AND REALIZE THAT I AM HAPPY AND STRONG

AND FORGET TO FOCUS ON THE FIGHT

PLEASE TELL ME THAT YOU CARE

DON’T LET ED BE RIGHT.

Free Printable Baby Shower Invitations for the Perfect Shower

Filed under: Marketing Parlor — @ 2:30 pm

Sending an adorable baby shower invitation not only captures the attention of your guests, but it sets the stage for a wonderful party. Recently I planned a baby shower for a friend and drove to a local card store to look at my choices for shower invitations. I could not believe the extravagant cost of custom-made invitations and immediately headed home to see if I could find any free printable baby shower invitations online. I found some websites where I could create my own invitations and therefore save some of my money for the actual shower!

As I created my own free printable baby shower invitations, I found that the wording for the baby shower invitations was a little difficult and I needed to use my imagination. I started with something simple like “Hurry, Hurry! Don’t be late. Let’s celebrate with Lynn before her due date!” Then I decided it might be fun to use children’s songs or poems in the invitation: “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, How we wonder what you are” or “Hey Diddle Diddle, The Cat and the Fiddle, the cow jumped over the moon….Find a fun gift and come to my house, for Sally’s baby is coming soon!”

If you don’t like the rhyming idea, you can keep it simple by writing things like, “Come and help Katherine get ready for the big day!” Or “The baby is finally here! Let’s shower her with love.” Allow yourself to be creative and have some fun.

As you create your printable baby shower invitations, make sure that you include the following: Guest of Honor’s name, date, time, place, RSVP number and whether or not the shower is a surprise. If the mom to be is registered somewhere, you should mention that as well. You can also purchase the fill-in baby shower invitations which will help you remember most of these details. Whatever you do, make sure that your invitations are neat, appealing and clearly provide the guests with the information they will need for the baby shower.

War, What is It Good For

Filed under: Marketing Parlor — @ 7:41 am

War is on everyone’s mind, and it is our first thought before peace is even considered. Thoughts of peace are trigged by the thoughts of war.

Society has a passion for war, and it offers all of us something personal, and an opportunity to express ourselves without limits. After all if you hate your enemy, what’s he going to do, shoot you? War gives everyone an opportunity to demonstrate one’s feelings; we don’t have to hold back. All feelings are openly supported by someone else that is feeling the same things in an invironment of extreme emotion.

War is an openly acceptable way to express, anger, fear, guilt, hate, jealousy, love, compassion, sympathy, gratitude, appreciation, kindness, and these feelings have support in open forums and in private.

War is opportunity to experience incredible wealth, or severe lack and it is about power, survival, dying, and suffering. Consciously we declare our hate for war, but underneath we harbour personal attraction for it.

I don’t understand my own attraction for it. I don’t read newspapers or stories of war, I try to avoid the news on the television, but I am attracted to it nevertheless.

I love war movies for some reason. The destruction of property boggles my mind. As a society we can come up with enough money to blow away and carrier worth billions of dollars, by a bomb worth tens of thousands of dollars, coming from and airplane that is worth tens of millions of dollars. And there are many of them, not to mention all the other expensive toys.
I am mesmerized by the ability of humanity to come up with all this kind of technology so that he can blow it apart. I have a close bond with machines and this whole war thing just blows me away.

Part of the attraction to war stories may well come from an opportunity for me to feel something. The moments of private suffering that victims go through, the compassion and kindness expressed under extreme conditions, the heroism demonstrated by the least likely characters. The openly demonstrated greed, hate and anger expressed by others. Stupidity is another aspect of humanity that shines in the movies, and I have to shake my head because the obvious is overlooked.

Humankind’s imagination knows no bounds in war, what ever works is the motivational drive that leads mankind to his/her greatest and lowest moments.

Humanity believes it touches its best side while it contemplates killing with compassion, kill the bad guys while lessening the suffering. He truly thinks he can do these things.

Why does a God Fearing country vote in a leader that openly sponsors war while it declares that it is compassionate and God Fearing? What kind of lies must it tell itself to justify its action? You cannot believe in peace or be peace loving, while you are demonstrating war. And if peace is to come, when is that going to happen? In thousands of years, when has peace come to the planet?

I see great minds that can blind themselves to constructive alternatives for the opportunity of engaging in war. War is so compelling to many that they are willing to sacrifice themselves and others to engage in it.

Demonstrations against war are loud, disruptive and many times, destructive. Peace is practiced internally in the quiet moments that you never hear about. They are expressed in the bowed heads and the tears that flow freely from the silent observers.

The whole idea of war is one of opportunity. It is a time of sharing; sharing the time to kill each other, to create birth, to love, to hate, to survive, to parish, to give and take. The world comes together in this time of great sharing, to condemn, denounce, to make promises, and to recognize what humanity is truly capable of and then to celebrate once a year.

How can this time of opportunity be anything but beneficial to humankind in the long run? We keep doing it, we understand at some level in our consciousness that if we keep hitting each other over the head with the same hammer, we will bring ourselves to our senses. In our reasoning we consider that if we kill often enough, create suffering and hardship long enough that we will learn that it is not working for us.

I say that it is working for us… it must be because we keep doing it. I don’t believe that it demonstrates peace or will ever bring peace to us. You cannot think of peace, while you are contemplating war. You cannot be for peace while you are demonstrating against war. You are either at peace or you are not. It is a personal issue and is manifested in a society where each individual lives in peace and demonstrates it.

War is not something that society hates to do; war is something that society loves to do. Would it not be insanity to engage in something that you hate to do? If you say that you do not like fighting and then demonstrate that you are willing to fight for that belief, what kind of insanity are you demonstrating? What kind of lies are you telling yourself, and what is really motivating you to experience the fighting that you do not support? Do you really believe that you must fight to achieve peace? In all honesty, isn’t it the peace that you do not like?

Do you find peace boring, non engaging, and scary? Are the activities of a peaceful world really that objectionable that you are willing to die for war? If so then what lies are you telling yourself in order to give yourself enough motivation to kill, or be killed?

For the hundreds of thousands or even millions of years that man has been on this planet, is war not the best way that he/she has found to truly express all of his qualities, all of his emotions and feelings in an open forum that supports all of them at the same time. Is man truly that barbaric that he cannot think his way out of the warring box that he/she finds herself in? Is it in wartime that man only has the opportunity and desire to talk about peace and begin to live it?

I don’t really have anything against war, if this is truly the only way that humanity has of fully expressing itself. War is a physical symbol of where humanity is in his enlightenment and awareness. War is a sign post that says, heh we made it, this is where we are. All sign posts are appropriate and they are truths. They are not lies or deceptions, they are honest and are observable and demonstrated, they cannot be denied.
There are no victims, there are no innocent. There is world collaboration and agreement for war, otherwise it could not happen. War in my thoughts is neither good nor bad, it is appropriate and an honest declaration of the world mind.

War must be working for us, or we would not engage in it, and we cannot say that it doesn’t work without saying that we are in fact insane.

There are no good or bad peoples in war; deserving or non-deserving nations, There are simply partners that are engaging in a mutually beneficial act that allows each to express themselves to the world in a demonstration of how they see themselves in relationship to each other and their environment. They are truths… thoughts manifested into physical realty, and simply sign posts that say this is who we are.

War is a clear choice taken from a buffet of alternative choices. The right hand cannot strike the left hand unless both hands are in complete agreement at some level of consciousness.

War does work for our mutual benefit. All thoughts must be expressed physically. War has been and will be with us for as long as humanity chooses it. And if we are truly insane, does that mean that we no longer have the option of choice? And if we are truly sane, will we continue to choose war as our way of expressing it?

In all honesty, is there anything that we are doing that is not working for us?

It is November 11, 2005, and what are we all doing? We are thinking about war. Is this the way to peace? We are thinking about all things of war, with peace maybe coming at the end of the day, numbed by the festivities of the day, the emotions, in the final moments before we pass out on the couch or in bed.

What is your Fundraising Goal?

Filed under: Marketing Parlor — @ 11:18 pm

If you don’t know what you’re raising funds for or how much you want to raise how will you ever know if your campaign was a success? Just knowing what organization you’re trying to help isn’t enough either. Knowing you’re fundraising for the drama club or soccer team is better than nothing I suppose, but far better to know you’re fundraising to build the set for this year’s play or to send the kids to a weekend tournament. We have a model in NLP for goal setting, and I think you’ll find using it effective to target your fundraising efforts:

1. State what you want specifically in a positive way. It seems obvious, but saying that you don’t want your choir to have mismatching uniforms at a recital isn’t nearly as easy to achieve as saying you want to have the funds to order each choir member a matching uniform from the same distributor.

2. State the goal in as much detail as possible. To continue with our example, determine what the benefits of the new uniforms will be, pick out the specific uniform you want to purchase, determine how many members will need to be fitted, get a firm price quote on the quantity from the distributor, and now you have your firm, quantified goal.

3. Check that the outcome is within your control, or if others are involved get their agreement and support. The Choir Director may have to collaborate with the Treasurer and the Head of Music, but when everyone who needs to approve is in agreement the idea starts gaining momentum.

4. Clarify the context, including date, location, and who will be involved when the goal is accomplished. Knowing you need uniforms for a recital at the end of the year isn’t enough if it takes 2 months for them to be made. If you need to get your order in by February 8th to give the manufacturer enough notice then everyone should be delivering their fitting measurements the week before. This means you need to know that the money is there at the same time you hand out measurement forms. Probably in this example the choir should complete their fundraising effort 2 weeks before the measurements are due at your supplier.

5. Consider the ecology of the goal (who else will be affected?). If the school band is going to resent the choir getting new uniforms then is the fundraising effort worth it? Should they also be included? Will the parents like the uniform or complain that it makes their child in particular unattractive (and do you care?).

Using this simple framework will do wonders in terms of focusing your fundraising effort. Best of all you’ll know in the end whether all your hard work has been worth it or if there are things about your approach that you need to change.
