Apparel Identifiers: from Football Badges to the Union Jack

Filed under: Hall Of Self Improvement — @ 9:43 pm

A lot of misconceptions besiege the Free Mason society - oftentimes pejorative connotations of a network of professionals trading classified business transactions, or yet greater evil insinuations. Nonetheless, in reality Freemasonry is a wholesome movement encouraging self-improvement and assisting others. As a brotherhood, Freemasonry offers a chance for men to gather and partake in amiable fellowship. Self improvement is a vital aspect of being a freemason. The Free Mason society advances serving other individuals too, and charity is a concrete means in which members help individuals.

A primary aspect of the Free Mason society’s regulations is not to actively seek out new members. Nevertheless, anyone should feel uninhibited to chat with any current member to acquire more details about the Craft.

Membership is for men only, over eighteen years old, and you have to match the qualifications of reputation and character, have to be of good moral character, and believe in a supreme being.

A male who wishes to become a member must be commended by three members of the lodge he wishes to become a member in. He has to realize that his reputation and character must be investigated. Following commendation by the members, he will be included as a candidate for membership in the Free Mason society.

Members often put on items like football badges so as to casually identify themselves to other members and also communicate the lodge they belong to.

Importance of Dealing with Your Budget

Filed under: Economy + Finance, Hall Of Self Improvement — @ 12:05 pm

Many of us frequently get troubled about their monthly budget, not overseeing your budget can contribute to putting you further in debt if you are not aware. Handling your budget the right way has many gains including saving you money and help relief some of your tension over debt. Always keep in mind that a budget is mainly a program for your monthly spending. A budget, like any program, demands some degree of management gain success. The manner I manage my budget, for example, is by focusing on keeping information organised and controlling my spending.

My first focus is on organising the information in mybudget. For instance, I keep track of recurring expenses like utilities, motorcar and loan repayments, insurance, and the like. I can very easily lose track of my expenditure without organising my budget. By knowing what expenses repeat every month, I have an instant hold on the minimum amount of money I have to set aside each month before I spend on other things I can moderate a little more such as entertainment, apparel, and vacations.

Watching the expenditure in my budget is important because this is where the most financial progression is made. A strong measure of progression is placing money into a savings account or paying down debt. However, if I over spend, the opposite is true because rather than saving money I will use debt to help me cover the monthly expenses in my budget. Clearly, giving in to the stresses of budgeting can have costly outcomes for my finances, especially if I am not capable to pay down my debt.

There are two benefits for controlling and coordinating my budget: First, I save money by avoiding unnecessary expenses. Second, my finances are pointed at reaching financial goals. Fundamentally, by not buying things I do not need, I am actually freeing up money that I can either use for something else or save. The spare money can also be useful in paying off debt or keeping it for a holiday. In addition to having extra money, I am able to make longer term financial goals like saving and investing for retirement or paying off my mortgage or student loans. With my budget being organized and controlled, not only does my financial position become more stable but successfully managing my budget reduces the stress that often comes with being in debt.

My Journey to Regaining Confidence

Filed under: Beauty Care, Hall Of Self Improvement, Health Hall — @ 5:15 am

The day I started noticing my receding hairline and bald spot getting bigger, I embarked on my hair loss treatment journey. I would spend hours and hours looking for styles to comb my hair a certain way to hide my hair loss. I discovered myself wearing more caps on the weekends as I went out with my wife, acquaintances or family. Walking in to work every morning without my hat was a tough experience. You change the way you think when you are suffering from hair loss. It is so true that you never know what you have until you lose it. That can be accurate about your hair loss.

As I looked in the mirror I began to appreciate every one of the hair strands I had left. It was as if with each individual hair I lost, so was a small percentage of my self-confidence gone as well. A acquaintance of mine had the same problem as me. Yet recently he seemed so much more relaxed and I noticed that it was as if his hair was growing back. I didn’t wanted to bring it up but after a while I decided to ask. It was then that he told me about Advanced Hair Studio. My friend Josh told me that he had only had a few treatments and has already started to see some results, he not only regrown his hair, but his self-confidence as well. After speaking to Josh and understanding what Advanced Hair has done for him, I took the courage to make an appointment for a free hair check.

I have to admit that I was a little wary at first. But results were apparent within a few weeks. Not only on my scalp, but in my behaviour. I started feeling better about myself and started to lose the hats on the weekends. My wife has also discovered a change in my day to day behavior as well. It is amazing how just a few visits to the Advanced Hair Studio had begun to change my life as a whole. I have constantly been skeptical about people discovering my bald spot. Now, I am not frightened to look people in the eyes again as I have my full set of self esteem back.

Advance Hair Studio has not only given me back my hair, but a big part of my confidence as well. So, if anyone is experiencing hair loss I highly recommend them. Don’t let your self-assurance continue to be lost with your hair.

Regained Hair & My Confidence!

How to Organise Your Presentations for Your Medical Interviews

Filed under: Economy, Education Online, Hall Of Self Improvement — @ 6:54 am

KISS: Keep it short and simple

A few central concepts that are better explained will come across more intelligibly than a lot of text planned to impress the audience. Your interviewers do not have the time to analyse the information as you deliver it.

The rule of 3

Nearly all people cannot recollect more than three things at one time. Many memorable quotes come in three parts: Veni, Vedi, Vici, Blood, Sweat and Tears, Education, Education, Education,
Ready, Steady, Go, etc.

If workable, devise your presentation in three bigprincipalcentralfundamental themes (one per slide). On each slide, tryseekendeavorendeavourattempt to focuscentercentre on three3 keycentralprincipalimportantessentialfundamentalbigprimarymain ideas. If you have too many pointsaimsitemsdetails on one page, you may want to breakchunk them down in two2 different more focussedcentredconcentratedcenteredfocused themestopicsideasstemsstreamsconcepts to break upseparatesplit upfragmentbreak downsplit up the messagecontentsubject mattersubstance ininto more digestible chunks

Rule of three3 applied to a presentation on the critical appraisal of your career so far:

THEME 1 - Presentation of Experience
Career progression & Exams taken;
Important skills and expertise acquired;
Involvement in academic activities.

THEME 2 - Demonstration of commitment to speciality and self development
Cours es and conferences attended;
Special interests developed;
Initiative taken in developing services and improving standards.

THEME 3 - Areas where further development is needed
Great emphasis on teaching; want to enhance research portfolio;
Keen to enhance further teaching experience (Med Ed. Degree);
Solid experience of endoscopy; further training required for possible
subspecialisation.

Visual aids

In mostwell-nigh allnearly allvirtually allalmost all interviews, the nature of the visual aids will be imposed. This could include:

No visual aids at all
A4 white paper sheets
Acetates
Electronic (e.g. on USB chip or CD Rom)

Identify the requirements before you start as it may dictate the manner in which you organise your ideas.

EnsureDetermineAscertainCheckVerifySuss Out too that you have sufficientadequatedecentenough back-up. For example:

if they asked for paper presentation slides, bring a copy for eacheveryevery last interviewerinterview panel member (they might say that they will photocopy them for you but the machine might break downfailcrumplesnuff itconkkick the bucket that day!) if they ask for a USB chip, bring two chips (and possibly even a CD version) whatever they ask, always bring a few paper versions in casejust in case everything has gone wrongbaddefectivefaulty, or in casejust in case they deliberatelyintentionallypurposelyby designby choiceon purposedesignedly make your life difficult.

Guiding a Friend's Quest for the Perfect Wigs

Filed under: Beauty Care, Hall Of Self Improvement, Health Hall — @ 5:09 am

Most never imagined the radiant Caroline Upton, our family friend, could ever accessorize with lace front wigs. Her iconic hair added so much to her femininity. Have you seen her lately? The one and only will always be celebrated for her style. Not many in town realize she lives confidently wearing human hair wigs. Guess it’s no secret anymore.

When we were kids growing up in our home town of Scottsdale, we always took turns winning Miss “SCH” four years running. In our twenties her medical hair loss took its toll and her hair wouldn’t be the same. I did hint at these synthetic wigs. Oh well, it didn’t matter much. What a strong soul, she somewhat obnoxiously fully owned her innate beauty.

Appearing at her fiance’s baseball championship, we flirted with the crowd until a numbskull clumsily hit the puck (or whichever thing that is) at us. With quick reflexes she dove for the ball and her hand-knitted “head sweater” (her idea) flew right off, revealing her thinning hair. No big deal, she walked over and delivered it to the game official. She’s that kind of girl.

But, there’s two sides to every coin. Not too long after at our semi-monhtly mid-day lemonade chat, where she very sincerely said that she would rather make do with a shorn head out of anger. She dare not spend money on human hair wigs, even if she knew it was a good idea. She then the punk changed the subject and begged that I drop it. So I did.

I wanted to help so bad. The next morning, I called about getting her a new wig. After a long deliberation we both came to the obvious conclusion: we’d buy each other wigs I used my credit card, and it was worth it.

She and I were amazed by the fashionable styles. We never imagined that synthetic wigs are so professionally crafted for a lot of people. These synthetic wigs brought out her youthful spirit. I coordinated a completely creative set of outfits around our wigs. We stand together, and that will surely endure. Last Christmas she sent me her thanks for her human hand-crafted human hair wig, and explained it encourages a real positive image for many occasions. It’s my pleasure to see her reclaim her beauty. I love her so much!

Mothers Know Self Respect despite Medical Hair Loss

Filed under: Beauty Care, Hall Of Self Improvement, Health Hall — @ 8:23 am

Comparing wigs on the Internet won’t feel like anything to dread. Trust me, I’m a well-to-do professional tolerating god-given medical hair loss. I remain vibrant because only my dear friends know I regularly and naturally enhance my look with a couple well-done lace front wigs that I value dearly. Something tells me it won’t take long to discover your hidden personality with the look of well-made human hair wigs. They do wonders for so many celebrities who depend on them.

There’s a good chance a lot of you have had the same concerns as I did. “Can it match my hairline?” along with “Will my scalp breathe underneath it?” were my biggest concerns, most definitely. These questions are valid if you take a deep breath so you can find comfort in how many fantastic fitting selections are on the market. Womens wigs made from natural hair, give women in every business with confidence. There’s little to dwell endlessly in! Never seen a well done wig? This is due to the fact that people never even know it apart from someone’s naturally growing hair.

Here’s a few wig shopping basics a woman should weigh. Without a doubt the truly natural wigs are human hair wigs. They are roughly 2 to 3 times more expensive than fake wigs with good reason. They are incredibly better looking! I always sing their praises. But if its just too much for the pocketbook, imitation hair pieces are not a bad option at all and worth of your consideration.

I spring for the natural human hair wigs for a couple different traits. They last longer and I dye them to match my natural red color. Not to mention, they don’t itch my shoulders.

Whichever you choose, do your homework to find a full bodied hair piece that does your image justice, so you can enjoy it confidently! Feel better about your appearance, and even better, be confident with it on. Like for any hair style, your wig reflects who you are.

Take care!

Self Help: Discover Your Own Potential

Filed under: Hall Of Self Improvement — @ 1:06 am

Innovation is a talent that everyone has but many people would refute that idea. If you’ve ever marvelled at somebody’s creative ability, you too can generate that same ability but it takes time. Everyone is born creative. The box of crayons in kindergarten were not limited to those who possessed potential; because the truth is, everybody has potential of one type or another.

Remember how long it took to learn to ride a bike or drive or to never commit the same mistake again. It’s the same with new ideas. It takes practice and a lot of time before this mind function develops fully. In this article you will find suggestions on how to incorporate this potential into your life.

Ignore what other people say. Follow your own instincts. Allowing for the input of others will only disrupt your evolving ideas. If you have an original idea, don’t waste time and effort trying to make people understand. They won’t. You will probably only receive adverse criticism. If all those geniuses had listened to their peers, we would probably still be living in the middle ages.

You need to spend time nurturing your potential. I cannot stress this strongly enough. This will also involve time management but with a little discipline you’ll be able to manage both.

Exercise. Take a walk. Run a mile or two. Send all those endorphins coursing through your veins. Exercising certainly clears and relaxes your mind and allows the imagination to run free.

Record your dreams. Some of those dreams you would never have thought of in your conscious mind. If you’ve had these dreams before and you probably have, this shows the untapped imagination you have within. So jot down those dreams. They may just ignite that imaginative spark in you.

Find your own style. You can always tell a Van Gogh from a Matisse. You’ll know Hemingway wrote something by the choice of words on the paper. You are the same. People will appreciate your originality more because it is uniquely yours and no one else has thought of those ideas. That ability allows people to see how valuable an asset you are.

Don’t hide behind nifty gadgets or tools. You don’t need the most expensive set of paints to produce a masterpiece. The same with writing. You don’t need some expensive fountain pen and really smooth paper for a bestseller. In fact, J.K. Rowling wrote the first book of the Harry Potter Series on bits of tissue. So what if you’ve got an expensive SLR camera if you’re a lousy photographer? Who cares if you’ve got the latest laptop if you can’t write at all? The artist actually reduces the number of tools he has as he becomes better at his craft: he knows what works and what doesn’t.

Nothing will work without passion. What wakes you up in the mornings? What keeps the flame burning? What is the one thing that you’ll die if you don’t do? Sometimes people with talent are overtaken by people who have greater ambitions. Think the hare and the tortoise. Somebody once said that if you’re not doing something that you want to do, then you don’t really want to do it. That’s true. Sometimes you want something so badly that you’ll allow nothing to get in your way. That is passion. Passion will keep you going.

Don’t worry about inspiration. You can’t force it; inspiration hits when you least expect it to and you should prepare for those unpredictable yet inevitable moments. An idea could strike you on the subway, yet alas, you have no sheet of paper on which to scribble down a thought that could change your life. Have a pen and paper with you at all times. Don’t make that same mistake again.

All these suggestions should encourage you to be alert to new possibilities. Bear in mind that you’re doing these things for your own satisfaction and not anyone else’s. Soon enough people will start to notice, enabling you to maintain a much higher profile as you increase and constantly tap your inner potential.

Off To See The Wizard

Filed under: Hall Of Self Improvement — @ 11:50 am

Do you remember the story of “The Wizard of Oz”? In this story we saw the characters of Dorothy, who had wanted to run away from home because she thought there was a better place somewhere. We also met the scarecrow who believed he had no brain, the lion who thought he had no courage, and the kindly tin man who assumed he had no heart.

Together the four of them set off to the Emerald City to find the wizard in hopes that he could bestow upon them these virtues and find a way for Dorothy to go back home.

Even though Dorothy had thought she had wanted to be somewhere else, once she arrived in Munchkin Land she realized that hers dreams of being in a different place were not what she thought they would be. Disappointed in the reality she desperately wanted to return to Kansas and be with her loving family.

How many of us can relate to their dilemma? For some reason we think there is greener pasture on the other side or that we do not possess the characteristics necessary to fulfill our dreams.

From a very young age, many of us are told that we can not do this or that because we do not have the talent or that we are not wise enough, or strong enough, or smart enough. What happens is that we end up living our lives in character with what others have told us about ourselves and in our personal belief system about ourselves.

This jaded view of ourselves keeps us from doing the things we dream of doing. Many of us yearn for a magic wizard that would come along and bestow the qualities we feel are missing so we can do more with our lives.

For this reason we are afraid to step forward and go for our dreams. We feel inadequate to fulfill the calling ahead of us. From past experience we can see none of the characteristics necessary for us to reach our goal, our destination.

What many of us were never told, is that we are all given those things necessary in life for us to move ahead, but because of our past experiences and lack of self confidence we tend to shrink back from going forward in our lives.

Many people do not realize that self confidence comes from succeeding in an area that we wish to excel in. Success itself is not a one time event. In fact, it takes many failures and learning from our mistakes that make us eventually self reliant and confident.

Remember when you first started riding a two wheel bike. It’s something that you really wanted to do. You saw your friends riding and were certain that it was something you could do. What happened? You tried and you most miserably failed. You would go a few short feet and then wobble and then bingo! You would fall again. Did you give up?
No! You got right back on that bike and kept practicing until you succeeded.
The great baseball hero Babe Ruth was known for his fantastic batting. He could hit a ball right out of the park! Did he just get up one day and say, “Hey, I’m gonna hit every ball out of the park”? No, of course not. Sure, it was probably his dream to hit as many as he could out of the park but he knew in reality he needed to practice and practice, and hit and miss and eventually he would hit more than he would miss. Every ball player has a batting average. This means that they hit a number of balls but it also means that miss a lot of the balls or end up walking to base or striking out.

We may have specific goals. We want to hit that ball, but we must be prepared to fail in order to succeed. As we fail, we learn better how to hold the bat the next time or at what angle we need to swing the bat to hit the ball head on. Even if we become super proficient at this, there will still be times when we just miss the ball. That is part of life, but unless we get up to bat we will not be in the game.

What about your dreams, are you giving them a fair shot. Sure you may not be perfect! Who is? The thing is, that you have to go after your dreams and not let failure or lack of self confidence hold you back.

Just like the scarecrow, the lion and the tin man, we must go through the adversity and step forward in faith. Along the journey we will find that indeed we do have the qualities that we were longing for.

Create Your Destiny - How Massive Action Can Determine Your Destiny!

Filed under: Hall Of Self Improvement — @ 6:56 pm

We often hear that “Knowledge is Power”. Is it really so? Knowledge that is not put to action remains just knowledge in your head. It is powerless and does not have any form of power at all. To accomplish results, we must couple our knowledge with the necessary action to attain results. From that, we derive this formula:

Knowledge Action = Result

That is the formula for achieving results. However when you added in the word ‘Massive’ into the equation, it had a tremendous impact in your life. It determines your Destiny!

Knowledge Massive Action = Massive Result ? Determines Destiny

Truly, when a person has taken massive action, it often requires him/her to step out of his comfort zone. However, a lot of people are not moving out of their comfort zone because of a basic, underlying fear for unknown or unforseen challenges, but this is inevitable! The beginning of every possible experience in life requires a first encounter. All of us learn through mistakes. When you made a mistake, you would normally say, “This doesn’t work,” or “I won’t do it again.” Mr. Mistake is a good teacher but that doesn’t mean you try to commit as many mistakes as possible. Minimize them and move on.

Whenever a mistake is made, it helps us to grow as a person. Till a point in time, when you have grown fully, you will be able to contribute to the society.

In conclusion, the fact in life is that whether you took action or you took inaction, there are consequences to be faced. If that is the case, why not take action to change your result? If you know that taking massive action can change your destiny, why purely take action when you can take MASSIVE action through immense courage?
