Promotional Products are Sticky - That’s a Good Thing

The targeted use of promotional products has been proven over time as an essential and cost-effective marketing technique. From sole proprietor to international conglomerate, whether solely present as an e-retailer or established as a brick-and-mortar chain, any business can benefit from this physical gift-in-hand approach.

Everyone knows to make their web sites sticky. Fresh and useful content keeps users coming back for more, with the result that they get to know and trust you and ultimately become a repeat and loyal customer. Promotional products similarly keep your company name (imprinted on a coffee mug or mouse pad) literally in front of potential customerswhether at home or in the office.

In fact, the money spent on promotional products is often a better use of advertising dollars in terms of ROI (return on investment). According to a 2004 study by LJ Market Research, 75% of respondents asked could recall the name of an advertiser on a promotional product they had received, while only 53.5% could remember the name of an advertiser they’d read about in a print publication in the past week.

By giving gifts at trade shows, in direct business-to-business sales meetings, or straight to the customer at cash point or in direct mail campaigns, your company begins to get attention and build name recognition, attract new and reward repeat customers while at the same time further inspiring loyalty.

Intangibles such as word-of-mouth and goodwill are also bumped up when you give people something useful for free. It doesn’t have to be a pricey item - if the recipient feels that a special effort was made to give something that targets his or her specific area of interest. Bookmarks are a good example of an inexpensive - although useful - promotional product. Because they are not perceived as gifts of intrinsic value, care must be taken to match the content of the bookmark to the subject matter of the individual customer’s purchase, in which case a strongly personal and highly positive impact can be made.

It’s the thought that counts.

Don’t try to compete with the large companies with the fancy graphics and expensive advertising. Let them spend all they want in expensive advertising, many of them don’t realize that it’s extremely risky or if they do know that it’s risky, they simply don’t care.

Take Television Advertising and Banner Advertising for instance… Many companies have spend millions of dollars on it, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t and many have failed.

Now don’t get me wrong you can still make profits from other people handling your advertising, but please understand that if others are doing the work for you all the time, you wouldn’t be taking full advantage of the Internet’s Technology. Children’s Sunglasses

Sunglasses for children should be one of your top priorities to provide for your child as a parent. Usually kids need the sunglasses more than us adults, because in most cases (not all) they are outside more than us. The harmful UV rays are especially more harmful to children, being that they are not as developed as adults and their eyesight should be treated with fragile care.

Children have the option to wear cute, fun, funky and even fashionable sunglasses. With the styles they are coming out with now days, kids have a lot more options than we do as adults! You can give them sparkly horn-rimmed sunglasses, cat eye sunglasses, star or heart shaped sunglasses, and the sort. Little girls can even sport wearing Barbi around if they please.

Children’s sunglasses are not just all about the awesome and fun decoration, but to keep them safe against the suns UV rays. If there is one thing that is in common with adult and children sunglasses, is that they both provide the same protection to fight against the suns harmful rays.

You can purchase your child some sunglasses at Wal-Mart or even the Pearl Vision store if you please. There are even specialty shops just for sunglasses for both adults and children alike. If you go to an eye doctor you may even receive a cleansing cloth, a case to set them in and cleaning spray to keep them clean. Make sure that both you and your children are protected from UV rays, the best way to do this is to go get a pair of sunglasses!

You can also purchase sunglasses online at different various online stores. They may even provide you with better quality (unless it is a specialty shop, of course). If you want to ensure the quality of sunglasses that you are getting, make sure to compile a list of questions to ask the clerk or whoever you are purchasing your sunglasses from.

All You Ever Wanted To Know About Earrings But Were Afraid to Ask

It is thought that earrings date back to 3000 BC where they
originated in Asia and appeared in 2 formats, one being the
simple hoop earring and the other the more elaborate pendant
earring. The oldest earrings ever found by archaeologists were
discovered in royal graves in Iraq and date back to around 2500
BC. Gold, silver and bronze hoop earrings have also been found
dating back to 2000 BC in Crete. In those days it was customary
to bury jewellery with the dead. In 16th century in the New
Kingdom of ancient Egypt a type of earring called an earplug
became fashionable and these fitted snugly into a wide stretched
hole in the earlobe. This type of piercing is seen on the
sculpture of Tutankhamen. Poverty in the Dark ages meant that
work with precious metals dwindled although some goldsmiths
preserved designs that were to later emerge in 7th century
Greece. The most popular earrings then there were the pendant
type and they often featured a bird or likenesses of the gods
Eros and Nike. In the 2nd century during the Roman Empire,
earrings became a popular way for rich women to show off their
wealth and the use of precious gemstones in the jewellery also
became more popular. During the Middle Ages, earrings became
less popular and practical due to the popularity of elaborate
hairstyles and headdresses. In fact for a time it was considered
immoral for respectable married woman not to have their heads
covered in public. In 16th century Italy, hairstyles changed
with hair being swept away from the face leaving ears exposed
although for another 100 years things stayed the same in
England, Spain and France with the wearing of high collars
keeping earrings out of fashion. By the 17th century, earrings
became very fashionable accessory for the well dressed lady
across the whole of Europe. One of the most popular designs of
those times were the very large heavy pendant type earrings
called girandoles which were great favourites of Queen Victoria.
These earrings required a substantial amount of precious metals
and gemstones and so were very heavy, which meant that most
people that wore them suffered from elongated earlobes. Although
earrings were popular with wealthy people throughout the ages,
they were also popular with poorer people who adopted their own
styles which were less elaborate and made from less expensive
materials. It wasn’t until the 20th century that earrings were
completely revolutionised. Different fittings appeared such as
screw and clip on as well as those for pierced ears and it also
became the norm for women to wear earrings in the day and not
just for special occasions. The 1960’s marked a massive change
for the wearing of earrings when designs became completely
unrestrained and it became common to see men also wearing
earrings although most only usually wear one earring. Women
began to collect earrings and with so many designs available the
choices were endless. Today the choice is even greater and the
popularity of earrings increases with many people now having
more than one set of piercings in which to display their
jewellery. Modern materials such as titanium and different types
of plastics have also become popular in the making of earrings
because of their lightness, design possibilities and in the case
of titanium because of its hypoallergenic qualities. There is
now a never ending choice of different types of earrings from
modern trendy cheap and cheerful everyday earrings to the more
expensive gold, silver or platinum earrings inlaid with diamonds
and other precious gemstones.

PPC Advertising Explained

Advertising on the Internet has always been a bit of a minefield for people being new to online advertising. Banner advertising, text link advertising, CPM, CPA, PPC, email advertising, SPAM - finding the way through this minefield can be very confusing and expensive if the advertiser does not what he is doing. When Pay-Per-Click advertising entered the market the advertisers gained a big piece of control.

With Pay Per Click advertising, the advertiser remains in control of the advertising campaign. He is able to target the audience and to set his own price per click (pay per click). Most PPC Advertising Networks provide the platform to specify the target audience by geographic location and topic or industry. The advertising networks have websites of publishers lined up where those ads will be displayed.

In PPC advertising the advertiser creates his ad and sets a limit per click that he is willing to pay. Most advertising networks provide tools to see how that pay per click limit applies to other advertisers bids for the same audience/industry. This will allow the advertiser to see if his pay per click limit is competitive and if his ad would be shown at all. The advertising networks will display those ads up on top of an ad location that pay most per click. The higher the bid, the better the chances of an ad to be seen.

On the first look PPC advertising sounds expensive. What would happen if you have somebody going rampage and clicking on the advertisers ads repetitive over and over again. Imagine your competition ruining your business by clicking your ads like crazy. In theory this could bump up the bill for the advertiser dramatically. But advertising networks usually have some sort of protection build in to recognize click fraud. That way the advertiser can rest assured that his money is running down the drain on fraudulent incidents. The advertiser also has the opportunity to set a daily budget for his ads. Once the budget has been fully used his ads will no longer be displayed until either the budget is increased or the next day starts. Pay Per Click advertising offers the advertiser the opportunity to advertise to a world wide audience without ever going over his budget, no matter how small the budget is.

Depending on the advertising network ads will be displayed in search engines or on regular websites.

Although relatively easy straightforward to set up, PPC campaigns are not easy to be measured in terms of success. It takes many hours and days of research into your business and competitors to find the right combination of pay per click limit, ad copy and target audience. Running PPC campaigns can be a full time job by itself. That is why some companies choose to completely outsource their campaigns to PPC Management companies, in order to get the most ROI (Return of Investment). Usually these are players with large interest in a certain market and with pockets deep enough to pay for this kind of service.

Advertising via PPC is different but then it is not. It gives the advertiser more control in many directions. The advertiser can react faster to trends and respond better to changing market conditions.
